We bought a curved suite from this company in July 2006 for £2532.00 (incl. a 5-year insurance which has proved useless) and it was delivered in September 2006. A few months later the leather on a patch of the reclining chair started to peel. I wasn't worried as we had the insurance. I called them and they refused to help saying it was a manufacturing fault. I contacted ScS and they sent someone round who said it could soon be fixed and that he would send his report to the company. Eventually I received a letter saying they would not help. A few weeks ago the metal framework on the reclining chair, which is attached to the adjacent fixed chair, broke, leaving the reclining chair in an unsafe condition - it rocks about instead of being fixed to the adjacent chair. I contact the out of warranty department of ScS and I have received a letter saying they will not help as it's out of warranty and that I should contact a local upholsterer to fix it. Surely a suite costing this amount of money should last longer than two years. My husband and I are pensioners and had been led to believe (by the ScS salestaff) that this was a superior suite and would last us for years! ScS does not care about it's customers. Beware buying from them....
