Our company had a rep call in November 2011, we very foolishly signed up to advertise in a local Chinese restaurant. We were told by the rep that 10,000 menus would be distributed locally and the advert would run for two years. The rep told us we could spread the cost of this over monthly payments. We did not read the terms and conditions in detail before we signed the contract, this was a big mistake!! We were told it would be published for Xmas or at the latest early January 2012. The company took all of the payments in one go and did not print the advert for 5 months, we cancelled the contract in February and have been battling with quality foods ever since. We were told we would receive discount vouchers that we could use at the restaurant - we have never received them! DO NOT SIGN UP TO THIS COMPANY

I had a rep in this morning...I was very tempted at the time with his offers but my instict was to say no. They wanted a two year contract that if I didn't say yes to in that 15 minute appointment then I couldn't do it at all. Especially because his crown was damaged and he needed to go to the dentist!!! And the final straw was when I asked him for some sort of ID like a business card, he completely changed his tune and said that 'If you've got to ask for ID then you're ovbiously not the right sort of client'(patronising me, I think because I am young starting out my own business)but he didn't have any business cards on him and the samples of advert sizes that he had were tatty so I think he is the one who needs to be more professional.

Do not advertise with these people they are horrid people who will tell you anything to get your business but will not deliver and are not bothered if they dont.

I have been waiting three months already for the advertising to start and even though they have taken my money some £800.00 i still have nothing and they will not tell me when the advertising will start.

i'd almost forgotton my horrible experience of quality food online! last april i was stupid enough to sign into a contract. realising this like many of you i phoned the company left messages to phone me back and trading standards. they started taking money which i put a stop on as the promises didn't materialise, no contact from them so i thought hey ho they got half the money so called it quits, but how wrong was i! today i had a phonecall from a debt agency chasing the rest. i had to make an agreement to pay didn't know what else to do, cant afford it just makes me deeper in debt. the most annoying thing is i didn't even get anything for it restaurant did not go ahead

Has anyone had any success in getting their money back from this company. I have had similar problems, told could accumulate discount etc. The restraunt didnt go ahead with the menu so the advert i paid for didnt even go out. It would be good to hear if anyone has managed to get their money back either through the courts or otherwise.

i totally agree with all of the comments about this company. i am in the same situation and have lost out on £600.The rep left my shop in a hurry and the company are laughing as they have took my money and i have nothing to show for it. i'm a new, small business and thought this was a good idea. so wrong! has anyone been able to get anything back from this company as i have complained and the customer services woman is so cheeky and i have been told the manager is never in the office and they wont even give me his name! i'm going to the papers about it! DO NOT ADVERTISE WITH THIS COMPANY!!!

I took out a half page advert in our local Indian restaurant in August 2009. We had eaten there in the past and thought it was worth a try.

In September I found this site and having read the reviews about the company I paniced and tried to cancel. I rang their customer services and explained that business was slow and cashflow was tight, and to be honest, I was feeling buyers remorse. Although I was told I couldn't cancel the lady I spoke to was very helpful and she arranged an easier payment plan
over 6 months which helped.

The menus were done in November and I must admit, looked very good. Our advert featured a promotion code so we could monitor the results and Im very please with the results so far. Business has picked up and we estimate the sdvert will have paid for itself by April 2010.

We also received a discout card for the Restaurant which is nice. My son and his wife used the card over Christmas and got money off the cost of their meal.

We are planning to expand our business this year and are seriously considering using this comapny again in other areas.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Normally I research everything before spending money - for some reason I didn't this time and BOY do I regret it!

I signed the 2 year agreement in April. The menus have only just been completed (its November 5th now). I'd paid for the ad to be full page, back cover. It's on the inside of the back cover. The discount card (which sounds great) doesn't have to be honoured by the restaurant AND its not for take-aways.

I was told that the menus would be distributed via Royal Mail. When you check the small print it actually says that it's the restaurant's job to distribute them. So, if they just want to leave them on the counter - they can!

All the money has been paid and the best bit, is they have just invoiced me for even more money - beyond the value of the contract!

This company needs a serious investigation. The reps offer misleading information to get the sale, then you're mistreated all the way to the end.

Never, ever, ever spend money with these people. Spend the money on Google Advertising instead - at least you can measure it!

We too received a visit from this company's representative. We agreed to one year's advertising, which we would review once we had seen the response during year one. At no time did we agree to two years, and made it clear to their rep that this was for one year only - which he clearly chose to ignore. We contacted the Company, advising them that we had not agreed to advertising for two years, to which which recieved a letter and a copy of a signed contract, stating two years. We are taking advice as to our legal position.

I have been reading the recent blaggers on this company and agree with all the comments. We too were duped by one of their salesmen but we have decided to fight back. We were misled by their salesman and so far as we, and a lawyer, are concerned this amounts to misrepresentation and that is breach of contract. We have asked for our money back and if we don't get it shortly we intend taking them through the County Court. It is not difficult or expensive and you can start it all online. Its worth thinking about because they shouldn't be allowed to get away with this.

I signed up with them at home after confirming with the Rep that the £5 per week discount card could be accumulated. Of course I later find out from the restaurant that it can't, and the Rep also failed to inform me of the £95 artwork fee. You'd think that at 40 years of age I would know better, but the one thing they obviously do very well is train their sales reps in the art of charm. Please steer clear of this company, I am currently in touch with Trading Standards.

i cant believe i got sucked in, i signed what i thought was a direct debit form only to find it was a non cancellable 2 year agreement! no wonder he shot out my door so quick! as soon as i realised i contacted trading standards and e-mailed and wrote to them. they have replied and they are not willing to cancel. no way can we pay

 ohno at 10th Sep 2009, 03:49PM
we have also had dealings with this company, with the rep telling a total different story to what the contract stated. could joyco blagger please contact me, as we would like further information, we were not even told that it was a contract we were signing, but that it was a direct debit for the balance once the advert was published. all have been cancelled but would like some info from other companys that have taken them to court. many thanks

I would really appreciate it if those of you who managed to contract the managing director of this dreadful company could let me have his name as it is always better than talking to a sales department.

I have contacted my local Trading Standards Department for advice and have cancelled my debit card so the company cannot take any further payments. I am advised to try to cancel the agreement in writing (by email) stating that the written contract was not the same as the terms quoted by the salesman.

In a weak moment, I signed a contract with a salesman from Quality Food Online without reading the small print. Having verbally agreed to a one year contract at £150, I found that I had signed up for 2 years 'not subject to cancellation'. There is even a clause that they won't guarantee the advertisement appearing!
