We have also been taken in by this company, l only found out today because my Daughter asked me for the webb address and she could not find it, but l found all the comments from disatisfied customers!
We ordered our kitchen from a nice rep, who called the day after l made enquiries about the kitchen, he was a very nice, gentleman by the name of Alan Cooper, done a nice display of how our kitchen would look, on his laptop. great.
Kitchen delivered 21st January 2009, doors where wrong, so we rejected those, and held back £500 until we received them, but on checking through the boxes, we found lots of bits missing, including a mix match of colours. We called the customer service telephone number and were told that the correct doors and remainder of our goods would be delivered the following week, that week arrived and went, we called them again and was told another date, that also was not kept, but we eventually had delivery of the goods yesterday 9th February.
I must say l am extremely please with the doors, they are great, but the bridges, they are just planks of wood cut to size with a bag of screws thrown in!! We do not have the doors for the bridges either and the framework for the larder door is not there, (this was missing on the first delivery too)a few other bits missing too.
We thought it was funny when the driver asked for the money BEFORE he unloaded the van, we argued but did not win, but l witheld £60, the driver me to help him to unload the lorry, and when l went to the lorry, well the inside was such a mess, everything thrown around, it is a wonder he could find anything. Still we are one of the luckier ones l suppose on reading some of your comments. We will keep calling them and hopefully get our items that we have not got yet, but l do urge anyone else NOT to touch this company.
We have just parted with £1100.00, got a kitchen of some sort delivered, we held back £412.00 because 2 doors were missing, all the pelmets/plinths were different colours to the doors, tried calling several times, this company are a joke to deal with or contact.
All they keep saying was i owed them £412.00, i said i would not pay them any more money until i get what i paid for.
This woman (Davina) threatened me with court, all i can say is bring it on!!!!, lets see who wins!!!!
They even wanted me to drive to Manchester to check my own kitchen...what a joke!!!!
They said it was all hand made, when they came to survey, the doors turned up in MFI boxes, the fitter came to look, and the kitchen units that they surveyed will not fit in my kitchen either.
Be warned do not touch this company.
Have you been misled and cheated in your transaction with this company which sells kitchens and bathrooms ?
Have you been demanded to pay in full in cash on delivery when in fact they knew that they were short delivering ? Have you been made to wait to no avail to receive goods which you have paid for ?
If so then please contact me on georgiasmsg@hotmail.com
I am still trying to get my £200 deposit back from this company. If anyone wants to know about the seven day cooling off periods go to www.businesslink.gov.uk/doorstepselling. It quotes that if a company does not comply with the Cancellation of Contracts made in a Consumer's Home or Place of Work etc Regulation 2008, your local authority's trading standards service may investigate the company, resulting in prosecution and fines.
If anyone has a complaint about kitchens 4 less I would put it all in writing and send it to Doncaster Trading Standards. The more people that do this the more Trading Standards or the Office of Fair trading will take us seriously.
I am not giving up, I am even going to write to my M.P sending copies of all my correspondence.
If Regulations are made by this Government and the EEC than these should be inforced and complied with.
I have written four letters three recorded I have sent several faxs and I have e-mailed jamesholder@live.co.uk four times, I have still not received a written reply.
all the staff at kitchens4less dont no what they are doing and yes i have had problems with them i told them where they stand by law and the staff did not want to talk to me they would only talk to my other half i will update this blagger later with more info
i was sucked in and taken in by the salesman named martin, got all the blabber and more he was also trying to sell me product on the side, namely a door security lock for £50,he stated he would lower the price of my kitchen which was to be £1500ish.and he also needed £200 in cash for the deposit for my kitchen which i gave him.my son who was more warey than me went out and took this guys number plate reg, incase i needed it,and i might.today i phoned customer service,ha ha,about receiving my £200 back as i had already written a cancellation letter after reading all these bloggs, well i spoke to becky who gave me nothing but abuse saying she would pass on my details to cancellations, but i was not happy with this so a so called manager came on the phone and thourly abused me telling me i was mad,i must have something wrong with me and to stop calling them,i ended up in tears.but i will contact tradeing standards, even if i have lost my £200 it is better than the £1500 thanks to all you bloggers.i am also going to contact watchdog bbc as others have done.so please, please do not be fooled by the add in your local newspaper for ex mfi kitchens for £795.nightmare.
this company trades under two other names they are rock solid kitchens & bathrooms and the worlds cheapest kitchens. use these companys at your own risk. you will lose money and you will not receive all of your kithen. but if you do it will be damaged or/and bits missing. so use a real company.
these companys contact does not go by the law, they have not got the 7 day cooling off period,so the contact is not worth the paper its printed on so beworned
