They have just sent us an invoice for environmental awareness books - I had a phone call from them about a month ago saying thank you for our order and could they confirm our address and would I like to pay by card over the phone to get a discount, Luckily i knew we wouldnt have ordered these and when i insisted they provide me with our order number they hung up.
Then, today the invoice turned up. I have written to them to tell them that i am passing their details to the police.
A relative of mine was working for this company in Wigan , she turned up for work last week on Tuesday as Monday was the bank holiday and the office had been moved. So she did not get paid !! she expected a check in the post last Friday but it did not arrive.
Unfortunatly they run their business by offering people a job but they have to be classed as self employed hence the company does not have to pay National Ins for its employees
I received a call from these people last week requesting money for appearing in booklets. I had already agreed to place an ad in another local booklet (in the south east) and thought this was the same company. Wrong. I believe they have taken my money under false pretences and I was stupid enough not to double check their details before making the payment. I only realised this today when the genuine company called me to ask for payment. I have written to them and will await a reply. I notice they do not have a telephone number, only a fax number.
This company rings about once a month trying to say thanks for me sponsering books for them which i never did, then they start an argument over the phone trying to persuade me that i did lol. I assume that if i say yes i did theyll ask for a cheque or something. I tell them not to call again but they do every month, this week they called 2 days in a row lol. If they ring tell them to get lost!
