Amazon  have found amazon to be amaz-ing-on all occasions during the past five years... but have a minor niggle regarding their use of dispatch and estimated delivery dates. i received notification that an ordered item had been dispatched at 21:41GMT 30 December 2004 with an estimated delivery of 31 December 2004. needless to say it wasn't delivered on that date not by royal mail, courier or even jeff bozo himself... oh well!

Intercable Verlag Ag  aka transworld business and buyers publications... run a business directory listing service with misleading contracts... you may think that you're awaiting the 'artwork proofs' and then boom! invoices come for Â?000's swiftly followed by demands threatening legal action... these guys (like many others) have a simple modus operandi... a hard sell either in person or via the phone using deceptive social engineering techniques appealing to the ignorance and/or greed of the consumer... you have been warned... those unfortunate enough to have been scammed by a foreign-listed company are encouraged to write to the representative embassy (in this instance, the swiss embassy) and cc the company. you'll find that they'll soon 'close the matter'in order to avoid the negative publicity and potential investigation..

Orange  ... i concur with my fellow blaggees as i too have recently experienced the frustrations of the menu-driven helpline system often waiting 20+ minutes, the inconsistent advice provided by their obnoxious 'customer services' staff, their inability to take ownership of the commonly-known nokia handset problem.... and now they have the audacity to send unsolicited text messages proffering 'free' orange services... the future. it's not bright. it's sh1te. it's orange...

Virgin.net  .. richard b., if you're reading this... these have really ****ed me off.. one month of non-existence service.. a painful automated telephone system.. unqualified and inconsistent 'customer relations' staff with audacity to transfer blame to myself as i have a virus / misconfigured router-firewall-adsl settings / trying to connect when there is a letter 'a' in that day of the week..

Albany Property Management  ...'i am pleased to present' these 'genuinely' nice people managing properties in the E1/2 area... however, i rent a 'period' property 'boasting' a 'fantastic' location of wc1 and these guys are not very knowledgeable or quick in fixing the 'original and imposing' (read... f**ked) external staircase providing 'exclusive' access to my 'delightful' private front door...one day it will break and it will hurt... and on that day, i will rise up from the hell-fire depths of my overpriced, minute 1+1 basement flat and I will strike down upon thee with great vengence and furious anger, those who cannot fix my staircase..and you will know my name is the pnoid, when I lay my vengence upon you and give you one more thumbs down on that great site... www.blagger.com

First Direct  true innovators delivering #1 class service.. these guys have been outsourcing call centre operations to third-world regions (ok. glasgow) for years.. for 24x7 personal assistance and no automated menu system that are about as painful to experience as pulling your foreskin up over your head and using as a beanie hat, i do whole-heartedly and head-chillingly recommend these... although they are a bank and it would be morally wrong to give them better than a one blagging thumb down...
