| Kitchens | Dear Tigger 1970, You can expect a call today from Rose in our customer services team who is currently arranging your delivery and who has dealt with all your previous calls. The case was in no way forgotten but we wanted to have a date for your delivery before contacting you again. Kind Regards, Kitchens P.R. Department. |
| Kitchens | Dear ourdoll, Obviously our customer service team has dealt with the delivery of your replacement doors but just to confirm that the order we believe to be yours actually is could you please email your last name, address and delivery date to kitchensoldham@hotmail.co.uk as blagger names don't always resemble actual customer names. Once this is confirmed we will do everything we can to resolve the matter. Vance does wish to state that he intends to resolve the matter like any other because he genuinely wants to provide a good service and not because of the threats regarding legal action as he never responds to comments of this nature. Many thanks in anticipation of your email, kind regards, Kitchens P.R. Department. |

| Kitchens | Satisfied Customer letter for Kitchens from: Stuart Finn RG5 3LD Dear Mr. Miller I am writing with regards to the kitchen recently supplied by yourselves and would like to thank you for an excellent service. My initial meeting with your representative Ray was surprisingly pleasurable and comfortable one with no hard pressure sell and I bought from you entirely on face value. Whilst your price at first seemed too good to believe, everything was delivered on time as promised and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the product which has transformed my kitchen beyond belief. Having previously seen both Moben and B&Q who were not only quoting more than 3 times the amount after a supposed 40% discount but subjected me to 3 hours of hard sell to try and get me to take up the offer. Your company has renewed my faith in kitchen sales people and I would like to thank you once again for an excellent service and product. Yours faithfully Stuart Finn |

| Kitchens | Satisfied Customer for Kitchens Cardwell Street Oldham. letter from: Scott Le Crass IGA 9EF Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing this letter to you seated at my granite breakfast bar was recently purchased from and installed by your company. It is just one of the fabulous features that now exists in my kitchen because of your extremely skilled and highly imaginative designer. I am myself a creative person but could never have envisaged my kitchen looking like it now does. The fact that I was able to afford granite with your company really altered my aspirations of how exclusive my kitchen could look. Since having it installed I have already had more than five social gatherings/dinner parties in my new space as I am just so eager to show it off. Everyone that has seen it has commented on how amazing it looks and when then told that it only cost me two thousand five hundred pounds including oven, hob, chimney, dishwasher and fridge freezer they were simply astounded. I really would not be surprised if a good deal of other people from within my ‘social circle’ also proceed with ordering from you. It is so nice to be able to write a letter of thanks to a large organization as the opportunity so rarely presents itself but in this case I felt it necessary because of the huge smile that I have on my face every time I re-enter the room. Please continue the sterling work and I hope to deal with you again in the future (I will be in touch when I need a new bathroom). Many thanks once again Mr. S. A. Le Crass |
| Kitchens | Another satisfied customer letter for Kitchens Cardwell Street Oldham: Letter from: Richard Cross SW18 5EH Dear Kitchens I took delivery of my new kitchen last week and was absolutely delighted with everything I received. The fitters arrived promptly the day after it arrived and proceeded to do a superb job of putting everything in place. When I first decided to purchase a new kitchen I got quotes from several companies all of which ranged between 45, 00 pounds and 9,399 pounds which for me were somewhat over budget. Your rep then visited and then gave me a like for like quote of 2,100 pounds, needless to say I was both stunned and extremely happy. Only after ordering did I begin to worry a little because of things like ‘too good to be true’ and ‘you get what you pay for’ running through my head. Only once received the kitchen could I see how much those sayings did not apply in this case. Buying my kitchen from you meant that I got everything I wanted without killing myself financially. I can’t tell you how happy I am with my new kitchen but felt I should at least try by sending this letter. I now plan to order a bathroom from you at some point in the next six months and have told everyone I know about your company. Thank you so much for your fantastic products and genuinely lovely service. Kind regards Richard Cross |
| Kitchens | Satisfied customer letter for ‘Kitchens’ Cardwell Street Oldham from: Leanne Wrigley OL6 8DS Dear Vance Miller, I just wanted to write and tell you how pleased I am with my new kitchen. It really looks wonderful and the quality of both the product and the service that your company gave me was second to none. I was putt off your company at first by all the bad publicity you have received but am so glad now that I decided to take a chance and place my order because of I hadn’t I would never in a million years been able to afford a solid wood kitchen. Everyone I spoke to and dealt with at kitchens were both friendly and helpful from the designer to the fitter and I would now be happy to recommend the company to anyone. The bad press you have received is completely undeserved as it is rare these days that you find a company as pleasant to deal with as yours. Congratulations on providing a truly great service and again many many thanks for making it possible for me to have my dream kitchen. Warmest regards Leanne Wrigley |
| Kitchens | Satisfied customer letter for Kitchens Cardwell Street Oldham from: Miss L. Dawson PR2 5MJ Dear Mr. Miller My partner and I are involved in property development and over the last few years have dealt with your company on seven separate occasions. In total I have received four kitchens, two bathrooms and over a thousand square feet of birch and oak flooring which I think qualifies me to comment on both your products and your services. Unless you have been living in a box for the last five years or so you could not have failed to notice that your company does receive a fair amount of criticism in the media but I have to say that I am rather a loss to the reasons for this as not only are your products of excellent quality but are also the most competitive that I have ever found to date. The only reason I could think of is that most of the nonsense that is said about the firm is inspired by your competitors who do not wish to have a company in their industry who sells at prices with which they cannot compete. Although this does seem somewhat underhand I am well aware since going into business myself just how low people will sink when there are profits at stake, hence why I wished to contact you and the company. As for the claims that your deliveries are never complete I have only ever had to contact your customer services department on two occasions and on both the people that I spoke to were helpful and professional making sure that I received my correct items as soon as it was possible to get them sent. To suggest that nothing will ever be missed from an order when dealing on a scale as large as you do is ridiculous and completely unrealistic as it is something that happens at every company in the world but I have never encountered any hassle trying to resolve a problem. Please use this letter whenever you need to and know that you can always use me as a reference because I intend to continue ordering from you as long as I am in any need of any products you supply. Many thanks for saving me a fortune and all the best for the future. Yours sincerely Miss L. Dawson |
| Kitchens | ANOTHER satisfied customer Kitchens Cardwell Street Oldham from: John Ellis and Deanna Madden M9 6SW Dear Sirs I am writing to praise the services we recently received from kitchens. We did think twice about using you after seeing some adverse publicity recently but with friends of ours still satisfied two years after having a kitchen from yourselves we proceeded. The service was fast and efficient, some errors that were made were also corrected extremely quickly – I need to say – we made the errors!! We found the whole process better than we could have expected and can say we are now the prod owners of a superb kitchen and will have no hesitation in recommending you to family and friends. I think in the world in which we live today people are very quick to complain and join the compensation culture queue. But we must also give credit where its due – well done to the whole team involved. Thank you John Ellis and Deanna Madden |
| Kitchens | ‘Kitchens’ in Oldham Satisfied customer letter from: Gwyn Jones LL22 8NY Dear sir or madam I enclose postal orders to the value of 100 pounds to cover cost of 2 x 500 beech shaker highline missing doors from our kitchen, upon delivery. The driver advised me to retain 100 pounds from the full price of the kitchen until delivery of the said doors but having spoken to a member of your staff yesterday she informed me that we would get speedier delivery (via courier) if I paid by postal order. Whilst writing may I also inform you, as I did your member of staff yesterday, that 1x 300 door damaged in transit and had a corner broken off, could you also therefore forward us a new 300 as a replacement for the damaged door. The fitters would verify this fact I’m sure if needed. Finally, may I just take the opportunity to say how pleased we are with the finished product now it is in situ. (albeit with two missing doors and the electrics have not been connected yet). Your staff has treated us admirably at all times in this difficult period for the company and they have been most helpful. The fitters were also to be congratulated on their professional standards. May I wish you all the very best for the future and your troubles can be resolved to all the staffs satisfaction. Yours faithfully Gwyn Jones |
| Kitchens | Satisfied Customer Letter for ‘Kitchens’ Cardwell Street Oldham from: Donald Young SW6 4GU Dear Sir I thought I would sit down in my lovely kitchen and write this note to thank you for making it possible for me to afford my kitchen. I am an o.a.p and I thought id never be able to have one, when I saw an advert for your kitchens I phoned right away, but I thought there would be a catch – no way! I am really delighted with the price and the job. A big thank you Donald Young |
| Kitchens | Another satisfied customer for ‘Kitchens’ Cardwell Street Oldham Letter from: Joanne Hepworth OL12 7JP Dear Vance I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you on the running of your company, and to thank you for my new kitchen, which is great quality and looks fantastic! Other companies quoted me over double what I actually paid for my kitchen. The design worked perfectly and my granite worktops look great! Thank you so much for my lovely kitchen and good luck in the future. From Joanne Hepworth. |
| Kitchens | Twigopo we have tried to deliver your granite and taps on numerous occasions, but unfortunately we only have a mobile number which is constantly switched off. | Kitchens | just an update for the site. Vance and our head of customer services spoke personally to Gabriela earlier today only to discover that she does not actually want our help. she has already recieved the soft close hinges and metal legs mentioned in her original blog and has been offered replacement units which she has said she does not want. if anyone does ring her on the number she has provided on this site then please could they try and find out in what way exactly she requires our help so that we may then resolve any issues she still has. the telephone conversation from earlier today was recorded by us for future reference. as always if anyone does have an outstanding problem please do not hesitate to contact us, as it is a priority of ours to resolve all problems as quickly as possible. kind regards. kitchens pr department. |
| Kitchens | This is a copy of a letter from another satisfied customer. Dear Kitchens, I am writing to you because I wanted to ay how pleased I am with the products I recieved from you recently. The solid birch flooring which now covers the entire ground space of my downstairs looks fantastic and has changed the entire look of the place altogether. The floor is then complemented further by the Kitchen I recieved which is also solid birch with a black granite worktop, granite being something that I did notexpect to be able to afford for a good few years yet. My house is now unrecognizable from what it was when I moved in and I am so proud when people visit. I did not use your fitting service as a friend of mine is a joiner and offered to do it for me but he did comment on the quality of the goods and also how simply it all fitted together as both him and myself have had bad experiences in the past when dealing with products that are delivered flatpacked. Whilst fitting the kitchen we did realise that one door and two drawer fronts had been forgotten but when I phoned you customer service team they sent them straight out to me with no fuss or delay whatsoever allowing my friend to still fit the kitchen in the same amount of time without it interfering with his other work. I had a great experience with your company from start to finish and will be singing your praises to anyone on the market for a kitchen or flooring as I know my friend will also be doing. Sincere Thanks Steven Evans This letter and many other letters of its kind are available from the company. Kitchens PR department. |
| Kitchens | Just wanted to express my gratitude for the lovely comments left by various people on this site recently. In particular my thanks go to juliew, b.england, jepson500, rolandh and margo. Your kind words have been very much appreciated. | Kitchens | jo jo joey we never appeared to recieve an email from you but another email address for you to try would be kitchensoldham@hotmail.com and an alternative fax would be 01616223297. As soon as we recieve the photographs we will be more than happy to assist you with your problem. Kind regards, kitchens PR department. |
| Kitchens | In reply to jo jo joey's question as to the national complaint figures. The figures previously given ie. 73 between 1st April 2005 and 31st March 2006 are indeed the national figures, they were just provided to us by 'Oldham Trading Standards' This information is available to anyone on request. All other comments have now been directed to our head of customer services who should be in touch soon.Kind regards. Kitchens PR Department. |
| Kitchens | 'Kitchens' would like to let everyone know that here at the company we have an extensive catalogue of letters from our hundreds of satisfied customers which are available to anyone on request along with details of consumers that have dealt with us in the past and who are willing to be contacted directly in order to give potential customers a reference regarding our products and services. As I am sure evryone is aware any company that operates on a scale as large as ourselves will obviously encounter a certain ammount of problems but now that we have recieved our true complaint figures from 'oldham trading standards' under the 'freedom of information act' we now have definative proof that we do not recieve anywhere near the ammount of complaints that the media has reported us to have and that between the dates of 1st april 2005 and 31st march 2006 we did infact only recieve 73 in total. kitchens is happy to do anything we can to give customers faith in our products and continues to provide the best value kitchens on the european market. kind regards, kitchens pr department. |
| Kitchens | Many thanks to catto and emmal for your very kind comments of support and also to ccreaven for being so reasonable. catto I think by accident you have given us 3 thumbs down. Once again thanks to all our loyal customers and we shall continue to provide the best service possible along with resolving any matters that are brought to our attention. kind regards, kitchens PR department. |
| Kitchens | Hello C. Creaven, Regarding your second comment on this site: I believe we have already resolved the problem of the dishwasher door since the comment was posted and we will contact the engineers in relation to your washer/dryer first thing tomorrow morning. We will resolve all your problems. Kind Regards, Kitchens PR department. |
| Kitchens | Hello Jo Jo Joey, Apologies, you should not have been told that we would not refund you for the washing machine as we would be more than happy to do so, we just had to see if an engineer could resolve the problem first. We do not wish to supply customers with appliances that do not work and our head of customer services will call you today to arrange the collection of the washing machine along with the refund. Kind regards, Kitchens PR department. |
| Kitchens | Hello C.Creaven just to let you know we have passed your comment onto our customer services department and you can expect a call from them today to arrange a re-delivery of the mixed up items and integrated appliance doors. Kind Regards, Kitchens PR department. |
| Kitchens | Hello Jo Jo Joey, After your conversation with our customer services department yesterday you should expect a call from the engineer within the next 24 hours. Do not hesitate to come back to us should this be delayed. Many thanks, kitchens PR department. |
| Kitchens | David and Natalie, I have passed your case over to our head of customer services who will contact you herself within the next day or two. Hopefuly she can arrange your final delivery. Kind regards, Vance Miller. |
| Kitchens | thanks arthur for your kind words of support and thankyou for having faith in me and my company. i guarentee you i personally will be in charge of making sure everything goes as perfectly as is possible with your kitchen. i am leaving the uk for china today and will be back on 6th july. i can be faxed on 01706821991 so please feel free to contact me with your enquiry but remember i cannot get back to you until after july 6th. with regards to running the nhs they wouldn't let me because it is the beaurocrats that decide who runs the nhs and as they would be the first people i would sack i have no chance. as for prime minister i think people should get together and form a party called 'the people's party' and every single change of government policy should be voted on by the people not left to a few uneducated thicko's in the house of lord's (lords my a*se) once again, thanks arthur. kind regards, vance miller. |
| Kitchens | dear sewell, thankyou for having had faith in my company i am very pleased that you have everything to complete your kitchen and i am very happy to hear your comments regarding the quality of our products. if i can be of any further assistance to you then please do not hesitate to contact me by fax on 01706821991. kind regards, vance miller. |
| Kitchens | Lesley, Kelly will have to deal with your problems from now on as I can only do what I can. I am not in a position to take money from my staff's wages to give to you but I appreciate the suggestion and we are not able to offer a free fitting service. Kelly will be in touch with you later today. kind regards, vance miller. |
| Kitchens | Eric if you can email your postal address to kitchensoldham@hotmail.co.uk then I will get a trade pack sent out to you. many thanks. vance miller. |
| Kitchens | kitchens would like to thank the hundreds of people who contacted us with messages of support after watching the 'channel 4' documentary 'brits get rich in china' and who got the company email address from this website. Vance has read each one personally and is most grateful to all his loyal customers for their kind remarks. as ever we shall continue to help in any way possible with all matters that are brought to our attention. kind regards, kitchens pr depatment. |
| Kitchens | lesley, i spoke to your fitter regarding the unit above the sink where you are banging your head. he said that because of a stop cock being positioned where it is and the fact that you did not wish to employ a plumber to move it that you agreed with him to keep the sink where it was hence why you now have a wall unit above your sink, there is not much i could suggest about that other than taking it down. with regards to the 2 magic corners, 1 larder pull out, lighting and slow close hinges they were not on the original order thus you were not charged for them, however due to the circumstances i am prepared to offer you all these items for only £150 (slow close hinges are out of stock for 4 weeks but i could get those to you as soon as they came back in). i hope this is ok for you. kind regards, vance miller. |
| Kitchens | dear lesley cowie, i have read your story and customer services' are now lookng into it as a matter of importance. kind regards, vance miller. |
| Kitchens | hi slk or simon now, i tried to call last night but got no answer (10:15pm) anyway thanks for being honest about the fact that you drlled the whole wrong and breaking your worktop. i always find it hard not to be obliging to people that speak the truth. most people would have lied and said it arrived like that, so back to your request. if you can collect i can give you a graded washer/dryer with doors and handle plus a 600mm door to replace the one you drilled along with the worktop for £280. if you can bring back what you don't need then ok. thanks anyway simon, yours vance. |
| Kitchens | Dear lesleycowie, the e'mail address is kitchensoldham@hotmail.co.uk as soon as it arrives i will look into the matter. many thanks. azfaal if you could send your contact details to the e'mail address above that would be much appreciated, kind regards. vance miller. |
| Kitchens | dear mystory or yvonne, i would once more like to remind you that i do not react to threats of court action or trading standards intervention. when i offered to help you with your problems with your 5 year old kitchen i did so because i genuinely wanted you to be happy with your kitchen and our company not because i was scared of your threats. to sum it up if you want to go to court then do so, if you want to report me to trading standards then get on with it but if you want your 5 year old problems sorting out to your satisfaction then just ask pleasantly and stop threatening me. yours, vance. |
| Kitchens | dear sarahplym, so you have an extra worktop that you don't need. you were happy with the price of your kitchen but because i won't spend £1oo picking up the extra length you got for free which is worth £30 you are not happy, well i would like to see the state you would end up in if you had to do my job for one hour. thanks, vance. |
| Kitchens | dear michelletoby, please fax me your problems (kitchen problems only) on 01706821991 thanks, vance. |
| Kitchens | dear mh23,thanks for the support, vance. |
| Kitchens | dear b.england, don't forget to give me a reminder in about 6 weeks, thanks pal, vance. |
| Kitchens | dear lesleycowie, i have not recieved your e'mail so please can you re-send it, as for getting ripped off in china it really is an everyday occurance out there and please believe me when i say that you were right to judge me as an honest guy. thanks once more, vance. |
| Kitchens | dear artdesign, i don't know why your comments got 3 thumbs down but nevertheless i appreciate your them and if you ever have dealings with us again i assure you of our best service. thanks, vance. |
| Kitchens | dear the slk, sorry about the taps pal, all my suppliers are instructed to make my taps from brass only. i really don't understand how your taps can have a high iron content, perhaps the chinese have ripped me off this time. as for catching those guys i am also puzzled as to how the police can call this kidnap, perhaps i should invoice them for my sevices. anyway i get to answer my bail on this charge tomorrow so we'll see what happens, either way i would do it again. with regards the rejects you saw outside our mill, these are doors that we reject during manufacture and send to china where standards are lower. as for tariq selling a quad, he'd better not have. he informs me that perhaps you witnessed a repair on a quad bike, either that or he has sold a quad and nicked the money so let's hope it's a reapir. as for bathrooms, yes we are now on with them. finally 'theslk' i would like to thank you for posting your comments and if you have any problems in the future please fax me on 01706821991. thanks once more. yours, vance. |
| Kitchens | dear shelleyann, i have spoken to kelly and the replacememnt oods re on the way to you although kelly informs me that the problems have been caused by your fitters and not our goods.Despite this i have instructed kelly to sort out this problem to your satisfaction. kelly will be in contact with you later today, please don't worry as everything willbe sorted at the end of the day. Assuring you of my best intentions as always. yours vance. |
| Kitchens | there are many false figures given about the ammount of complaints overiding bodies recieve about 'kitchens' but the official figure from 1st april 2005 to 31st march 2006 as provided by oldham council was 73(not a large ammount for a company which sells in excess of 500 kitchens a week). then in november 2006 when oldham trading standards raided the premises and siezed all company documents, paperwork and computers the figue shot up above a 1500 but surely these were problems created by the authoroties themselves as the company was left with no record of any existing customers. regardless of this set back vance miller did not take the easy way out by closing the company but instead he began trying to sort out the inevitable back log of problems, he honoured all deposits paid prior to the raid and continues to provide people with quality products at a fraction of his competitors prices. a company cannot grow to this size withot the support of thousands of satisfied customers. kitchens would ask that all customers 'keep the faith' and allow us time to resolve your problems instead of threatening immediate legal action. no matter will go unresolved. many thanks, kitchens pr depatment. |
| Kitchens | there is absolutely no cause for concern whatsoever. kitchens is still working very hard on resolving all outstanding queries and shall continue to do so,please do e'mail kitchensoldham@hotmail.co.uk if there is anything you wish to bring to our attention. with regards to vance miller escaping arrest for 'kidnap' this is infact true however the term should be used cautiously because he did infact make a citizens arrest on an armed group targeting his premises after the authoroties failed to assist him with over 25 previous offences.the group chose to speak to him in person as an alternative to being taken directly to the police and were only held by him until his questions were answered. he really is the only man in england that could come under viscious scrutiny for suceeding in foiling a dangerous crime. he followed all legal procedures for making a lawful 'citizens arrest.' i would urge people as with everything to not always believe what you read. kind regards, kitchens pr department. |
| Kitchens | obviously those who have their complaints fully resolved tend not to remove old comments from this site but just to keep all concerned updated the following surnames have had their queries dealt with: england mitchell dobson dark epps glass takhi west wright baskaran holdsworth(customer services will contact you regarding your e'mail) s.jesson-we have recieved your e'mail and our customer services manager will contact you herself asap. messages have been left for perry, witcomb, frame and moran.if these have not been recieved then do get back in touch.kind regards.vm. |
| Kitchens | Shellyann I have checked my emails and faxs, and have emails from many people about a number of issues, and all are being dealt with. If you haven't had a reply then I haven't had your email. Please email or fax me again, and also include your full contact details so we can source your information before we call you. Kind regards Vance Miller |
| Kitchens | You can contact me directly at kitchenoldham@hotmail.co.uk or you can fax me directly with your problems on 01706 821 991. Please provide as much detail as you can and I will do my best to get your issues seen to. I'm a little concirned at this sudden surge of people complaining on blagger just when we are getting a grip on things, yet very few of these blaggers actually proceed to contact me to get thier matters resolved. For anyone who's interested, C4 have been following me and 2 other businessmen whilst we have conducted our business in China. The programe will be showing on Bank holiday monday at 9pm on Chanel 4. The programe is called 'Brits get Rich in China'. I'm not so keen on the title but you will get an insight on what is really going on, and how we operate. kind regards Vance Miller |
| Kitchens | Michelle I have replied to your email and will post for the benefit of others. If you do experience delivery problems and email to notify me, please provide complete details of the issue so we can resolve the matter quickly. Providing a name on its own doesnt help me track your order. I require full contact details and the contract details, I can then personally make sure that the matter is dealt with promptly and find anyone who has not cooperated fully. Thanks Vance Miller |
| Kitchens | For those who still have outstanding issues and don't have my details, they are as follows. Email: kitchensoldham@hotmail.co.uk Fax: 01706 821 991 thanks Vance Miller |
| Kitchens | Hold on there m.holdsworth 2005 was a very long time ago, and much has changed since then. You can email me your full details to kitchensoldham@hotmail.co.uk and we will get to the bottom of your issues as soon as possible. Please note the below post with reference to potential delays. Kind Regards VM |
| Kitchens | Someone will be intouch shortly if they havent already. I would like to remind that it takes time to look into these matters, and I remind you that the trading standards holds ALL our documentation. First we have to request the info, then investigate it, which means requesting further documentation from the Trading Standards and so on and so on. This could be digital info with thier forensics team, paper documentation which could be with any number of departments. Until we have all the information we need, until we have all references to hand there is little we can do proceed to a resolution. As for the previous poster v901. All our calls are monitored, provide a number and a name and i can find out exactly how many times you called and who you called at the click of a button. BUT i suspect that you will not provide such information any time soon. You have my fax and you have my email, both are working and have resulted in issues being resolved. Your welcome to visit our office and view the lists, see the fax in action for yourself. The reason why a phone number is not issued, is because I am am not available to take calls from customers, theres is nothing i can resolve over the phone. With a fax we have a hard copy and can request records from the Trading Standards, the same applies to emails. I can't just wonder into the TS and request info based on a phone call i've had, unfortunatly it doesnt work like that. I understand your frustrations and I find myself repeating the same mantra again and again. We are doing our best under the present circumstances, we have restructured our business, we understand and acknowledge there are issues and we are dealing with them. Regardless of what you may think as an individual, we can clearly demonstrate improvments month on month. Our complaints are down by a massive amount, you can see that from the frequency of posts from this website alone. So I ask you for you patience, we will do our best to work with you if you have any problems; but its not going to be a quick resolution. |
| Kitchens | Hi Why didn't you simply email or fax me and we would have done our best to resolve your issue. If you have taken us to court then you will receive any awards in due course, this is always a slow process due to the paperwork involved. |
| Kitchens | Hi. Our adverts have been changed nationwide to reflect this new ruling. We had already changed many of the adverts prior to this ruling as part of our internal review. However some ads remained in various magazines as we had paid for them to be run for a 12 month period. As I have stated in previous posts and where the press allows, we have totally revamping and restructuring our business top to bottom; and we do not see this ruling as a negative issue. We are grateful that it's been brought to our attention and we are working with ASA to immediately correct any misleading information. It will be a few months before all the ads have been replaced and worded in accordance with this ruling but the fact remains; we still offer the cheapest kitchens in the UK at the highest quality. There are still transport issues that we are addressing but our new system has shown significant improvements and complaints are now at an all time low. Vance Miller |
| Kitchens | This is totally against the practices of our company. Can you please fax me the complete details of the situation to 01706 821 911, and I will make sure those responsible are called in to account. Please provide as much detail as possible, names, dates, costs etc. Kind Regards Vance Miller |
| Kitchens | here we go again.. 'utter contempt for my customers' you are having a laugh right?? i have done everything in my power to help customers resolve thier issues, i have stack yay high of testimonials and resolved complaints, anyone of you is welcome to come and view them, cross check them, investigate them or take comfort from them, testimonials from individuals, businesses, and councils. if you have a legitimate complaint, and you feel that it hasnt been resolved then it is logical that you would take the steps neccessary to recoup your money, you havent revolutionised the industry by doing so flo. ebery single kitchen manufacturer, supplier at some point will have someone persuing legal action against them, we are not unique in that sense. you have my details.. kitchensoldham@hotmail.co.uk or my personal fax on 01706 821 991, feel free to contact me and i will resolve your issues personally, what more can i do than to give you direct access to the top, I would like to see you try and contact the boss of MFI or B&Q to get a complaint resolved. I am here to help you, not to make it difficult for you. its very easy for me to find something more interesting to do with my time, but i choose to spend it helping customers, i suggest you quite wining and fax me your problems so i can sort it out. |
| Maples Kitchens | worthless junk?? i will have you know our kitchens are of the highest standard, proven fact, yes we have transit problems, but as for the products themselves, we are the cheapest and our quality is the finest. We did get our wrist slapped in th epast and that was because we made the mistake of advertising our product as SOLID wood and not REAL wood.. solid wood means the product has to be made from one solid peice of wood - no joins, but it is real wood. never has theh quality been called into question by any board, authority or trading standard. we are the largesst, we are the best, and we certainly are the best value for money.. |
| Kitchens | Okay - where getting somewhere.. Everybody see this, the kitchen is actually of good quality and he likes it. That is a pleasant and welcome comment. okay email me all your info - address, images, missin gitems etc etc and we'll try and get to the bottom of this asap. Vance Miller p.s and please, ease up on the thumbs down, i am atleast trying to help |
| Maples Kitchens | are u sure ur not confusing my company with Kithens Direct? aah.. you mean Oldham trading standards. the ones who mistook a spud gun for a firearm and a spud as live ammunition? its not by chance the same TS who are officially one of the worst TS office for wasting public money. ie using 130 officers to arrest 4 people. to all geniune people with genuine issues. feel free to contact me direct on my fax 01706 821 991 and I assure u I will get your problems resolved personally. |
| Maples Kitchens | another one post wonder!! Oh my GOD how lucky you were, and oh boy oh boy lucky lucky you it was just £200 you lost. Funny - you don't seem too upset about losing £200, and its also very enlightening to know that i have someone called Elizebeth working for me... lets see. i got a sarah, i got a dave, i got a kelly, i got about 200 others.. hmmmmm no Elizebeth, sure its not a figment of your imagination?? you know i did some reasearch of my own recently, i visted a number of forums that have posted about me over the years, and your post was a set peace reply on about 6 posts i found.. BUSTED! i just need to know who you work for so can congratulate your boss for employing such a numptee to go around posting about me. |
| Kitchens Of Oldham | When we are wrong we hold our hands and do our best to resolve your issues, in the very rarest case someone has to take us to court its usually something that was totally out of our control. as for flo.. how about you get a life and set up your legal practice on some elses reputation. |
| Kitchens Direct | you should come to see our products at kitchens in Oldham. Were cheaper and our products are better, and we not about to go bust. VM |
| Kitchens Company | Hajra007 fax me your complaint to 01706 821 991 and i'll get in to resolving your complaint immediatly. regards VM |
| Kitchens | okay code name v9013400. all you have to do is supply me with a phone and i can at the click of my fingers find out exactly how many times you have called, who you have spoken too and exactly who it is that hung up on you.. i will brave a step forward and say that you have never rang, infact you probably havent even bought a kitchen. i spoke to a very fiery customer not the other day, claiming he had called over 50 times in the week following his purchase, this same person could not confirm a phone number, nor a deliver time nor a contract number, it turned out he was calling for his friend, a friend who also didnt have a contract or a traceable phone number.. its funny how stories change once you start to ask a few questions. there are hundreds of cases available, that can be confirmed the TS, by watchdog and whoever else has logged complaints against us over the years, who can confirm that complaints are being steadily resolved. We are not a fly by night rogue company, we are the largest privatly owned kitchen company in the World, we neither want to jepordise our future or upset our customers, we are here to help and we will continue improve, and ofcourse we are here to resolve your complaints.. but if your a blagging, we will catch you out! |
| Kitchens | With respect jon4444, without evidence of purchase, a contract there is no way any company in the world will just take your word for it. All records were seized by trading standards, yes the backups too! All we can do i check via our good friends the Trading standards is that it is a geniuine contract. Unless like many before you who have ha dthere issues resolved, can provide proof of purchase in the form of a contract, a list of your missing items or issues, we can then investigate. Applying pressure and saying your peice on this forum will not get the response you require unless you provide the information as repeatidly requested and faxed to 01706 821 991. it is not an unreasonable request, its is not unusual for a company to request this information, infact its compulsary. just image the fun i would have 'and do have' with people claiming to have bought a kitchen or have missing items.. its simple - unless you provide evidence of a kitchen, there is nothing i can do for you. and i wouldnt suprise me one bit if you dont have a contract and are just trying it on, or just trying to throw some muck out thier on the web on the part of your employer, that happens too!! |
| Maples Kitchens | how do i do it? by grafting, day and night. By traveling the world and scouring every factory and negotiating prices myself, no middlemen, just me. If you recieved chipboard its because you ordered chip board, infact chipboard is more expensive to supply than wood. We have very few complaints about the actual quality of our products, the only recurring probelms are missing items and damage in transit. Again we are always looking to better ways to improve our service and we provide expecptional value for money. There is not one single company that can even come close to us on price and we hold more stock than 60% of the entire UK kitchens industry, and we supply the majority of trade because of our prices. Customers do complain, and may spread thier complaint all around the press and web, but they still get sorted eventually, and they they recomend us to others. Thats why we continue to grow and will continue to grow. We have have 400% more testimonials and recomendations than we have minor or major complaints and of those complaints 70% are resolved within 7 days, the remainder are not let down and nor forgetten, they just take longer to resolve, and only 1 in 40 level 4 complaints actually end up unresolved due to whatever reason. We have not grown because we are a cowboy outfit or a rogue company, its because we offer a great product at unbeatable prices - guaranteed. And just like any company we have issues, transporting approx 5000 items that make up a complete kitchen; around the world; stocked, picked and transported again is no easy task for anyone. regards Vance Miller |
| Maple Mill Cardwell Street | Hi. i do appologise for the poor experience you have had with Kitchens. Can you fax me dates, names and issues and you can be rest assured, i will make sure that any unprofessional attitudes are swiftly checked. my personal fax number is 01706 821 991 Kind Regards Vance Miller |
| Kitchens | i'm away on business for a few weeks and will only have sparodic access to the internet, if i do not reply immediatly to your faxs or emails then its because i'm travelling. however i will get back to each person as and when i get access to my emails and faxs. kind regards VM |
| Kitchens | Anyone interested in a class action to sue this company for unsatisfactory product or other losses? Legal fees minimal. anawar@unforgettable.com ------------- You wouldnt be the first person to try and gang up on me or promote your own legal services to try and squeeze Kitchens for 'compensation'.. You have my details, the fax works and i have a stack of testimonials to prove that problems have been resolved and the fax does work. you must be punching the numbers too fast, its probably difficult whilst your rubbing your greedy little hands together.. All those people with genuine complaints are welcome to email me kitchensoldham@hotmail.co.uk or preferably fax me on 01706 821 991 and i'll resolve any problems as quickly as I can. that doesnt mean immediatly, it means as quickly as the investigation into your complaint takes, that could mean minutes, hours, days, weeks even months. But it will get resolved and will get resolved as fast as possible. regards Vance |
| Maples Kitchens | Fax me through your details and lets get to the bottom of this asap. fax 01706 821 991 thanks Vance Miller |
| Kitchens | email me your contact details to kitchensoldham@hotmail.co.uk and lets see if we can crack this. |
| Maples Kitchens | Thanks for your support carlyB we have been trying our best with the little resources we have been left with by trading standards, but we are making good progress and are clearing issues steadily. if anyone does have further issues, please fax your details to me on 01706 821 991 i will get your problem resolved. thanks |
| Kitchens | dealing with trading standards has been a problem for everyone. they have not thought the consequences of the raid through properly and have left everyone involved in limbo. fax a copy of your contract and a list of missing items to 01706 821 991 which is my personal fax - and i'll look into it immediatly. your issues will get resolved. thanks |
| Kitchens | Hi As i keep saying again, and again fax me your details on 01706 821 991, and ofcourse it works. it might be busy on occassions but it certainly works. i can easily post testimonials of customers who have succesfully got through and had problems resolved. As for checking emails, i do not always get the chance to check as i am on road alot, and some find thier way to the spam folders. i'm still getting to grips with the online environment so bear with me, hence i prefer fax. You can contact who you please Noreen, it doesnt change teh fact that you have an outstanding resolution, rather than concentrating your efforts towards watchdog or the courts, please just fax me your details and they will get resolved. Unless i recieve that fax with your contract and issues on, i cannot get it resolved, the difficulty is sourcing the records - thanks to Trading standards, it now takes 10 times longer to solve complaints. i can assure you that I/We are trying our best. i am not here posting on the web because i have nothing better to do with my time! i am here to work with you, to attempt to deal with your problems. just follow the protocol for my benefit and your problems will get resolved. thanks |
| Kitchens | Dear Noreen as i have explained many many times before. if you look at the back of teh contract you will find clearly my 'personal' fax details. It has been included in the contract for this exact reason, if there is an unresolved problem, then you cant contant me directly to resolve you matter personally. All those responsible will be brought to check as i always do. of u would kindly fax me all your outstanding issues on 01706 821 991, names dates, times, and i can initiate a full investigation and believe me when i say that your issues WILL get resolved. Our aim is to resolve complaints, not to make them worse, and there can sometimes be leangthy delays but all our problems to eventually get resolved. The resolution of complaints is rarely an easy or quick process. i look forward to hearing from you soon Regards and all the best for the new year Vance |
| Kitchens | Hi As i said in an earlier post, we are trying our best to improve and continually looking at better and more effecient ways to handle customers issues. To be brutally honest, I have a great team and fully understand thier issues, we sometimes have to draft in extra staff; eg if we have a exceptional month then ofcourse the levels of customer issues will also increase - so good staff are hard to find at the drop of a hat. And because i am the 'big bad man' according to the press; its always an uphill struggle to convince potential emplopyees that i don't chew gunpowder and spit bullets. We have taken stock, and we take on all comments good or bad. And please if you know of any fitters out there who wouldl liek to join our team than please - feel free to email me thier details, infact fax is usually better. Thanks Vance Miller f: 01706 821 991 e: kitchensoldham@hotmail.co.uk |
| Kitchens | Hi to all those people who have emailed me your issues, I have responded and your problems are being resolved, aswell as email can i request that you also fax me a copy of your contract and the outstanding issues directly on my home fax number so i can deal with them on the move. As you can imagine i spend alot of my time on road and i don't want to miss any of your correspondeces. Kind Regards Vance Miller |
| Vance Miller | First of all we would like to appologise to all our customers for this disruption. Contrary to what Trading Standards have to say, we would like to inform all our customers that if you do have any outstanding issues then you can contact me by fax directly on 01706 821 991 and we assure you that your outstanding issues will be resolved. We urge the Trading standards to open communications with us, and lets work together to resolve this problem. if you are a competitor, then its easy kicking us whilst we are trying our best to resolve these issues, we have been improving month on month and have brought our complaints down a significant amount over the last year. the Oldham tradings standards have continously refused to work with us in resolving the complaints they have recieved, yet we have always offered to work with them. We still urge them, if they are as fair as they claim to be then open a line of communication with us, lets resolve these complaints like we have always requested. Kind Regards Vance Miller Fax: 01706 821 991 email: kitchensoldham@hotmail.co.uk |
| Kitchens Of Oldham | and for the record no GUNS were found at the mill, the so called 'FIREARMS' were my sons spud guns, as you can see no-one has been charged with the anything to do with firearms, again its some rabid press twisting events to sell papers. And only 2 newpapers had the cheek to take this story to press. A bit silly really. |
| Kitchens Of Oldham | Actually those very interesting things were my sons spud guns, as you can see no-charges for firearms have been brought against anyone associated with kitchens. another attempt by our friendly press to thrown a handful of mud. As for complaints and trading standards, We hold our hand up to anything we may have done in past years. We totally understand all you have to vent about, but we have been trying our hardest to resolve these issues, we have put safeguards in place, put staff through professional training and improved the quality of our overall service. Certainly we never intended it to be like this. i have even taken matters into my own hands to visit Kitchens customers and resolve their problems personally, which has been successful. Kitchens even slowed sales down so we could catch-up with customer issues. But Oldham Trading standards have never contacted us directly to deal with complaints, we have called and called and called to speak to them but they will neither take out calls nor offer to work with us; as they are obliged to. But we are here, ready and willign to work with them, we always have. Watchdog reported that were were improving our service, they have supported me in getting a message out to customers who have been left stranded by this raid, as have some press. Why won't trading standards, infact you call them and ask, they might speak to you, and if you get through give them, my email address kitchensoldham@hotmail.com and my fax number 01706 821 991 whatever your problems were, i hope they have been resolved, if they havent then my team is waiting for you to contact us. |
| Kitchens | Thanks for your comments. Customers sometimes incorrectly assume that Kitchens is a small operation and that complaints are a simple proceudre to resolve. I can assure you THEY ARE NOT! The sheer volume of people who ring just to try it on will amaze you. How many of the complaints recieved by Trading Standards were 'actual' customers with signed contracts? As we improve our service, we update systems and put safeguards in place. But training takes time. Correct and capable staff take time to recruit, and thanks to the press alot of potential candidates are scared away. We had made leaps and bounds and in our customers service, i personally visited customers to resolve thier problems and continue to do so. Our list of testimonials has leaped. Once all this has blown over we will be implmenting an effective QA system, and our service will continue to improve and will continue to offer great kitchens at great prices. We will be bringing in some great new designs for spring 2007. Wishing you all a merry Christmas and New Year. and dont forget we are still here to resolve your issues, my fax nmumber is in the below post. |
