| Rock Solid Kitchens | Rock Solid have just been featured on the BBC East Midlands today news-programme. It showed the really awful quality of the product and mentioned the lack of customer service care from the company. It also said that the company is (surprise, surprise) under investigation by Trading Standards.![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() trisantona at 18th Apr 2008, 07:01PM |
| Londonticketexpress.com | I think you are right. It even has the same Oxford Street address as the London Ticket Shop. |
| Getmetickets.net | The Mirror's Penman & Greenwood investigation column have just given this rip-off company an award for being so bad . details here :- http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/mirrorinvestigates/ tm_column_date=22122005-name_index.html |
| Kitchens | The ASA censured this company over their so-called solid wood kitchens. You can read about it here:- http://www.asa.org.uk/asa/adjudications/non_broadcast/Adjudication+Details.htm?Adjudication_id=40484 |
| Iomart Internet Ltd | This is directed at babes. If your reply ,with all its English and grammar errors, is an example of the educational standards of the staff who work at UFIDUS, then it is no wonder that there have been so many complaints about your company. |
| Wisematch Services | A company called CarData (which uses very similar tactics to Wisematch) has been featured a few times on the BBC Three Counties Radio consumer programme.I wonder if it is the same company using two different names. When the BBC tried to get people's money back they have been fobbed off with excuses from this company. One time they did promise to refund £50. When this money did not arrive they denied all knowledge of ever making such an offer. It might be worth contacting the radio station. Just go to the main BBC web-site and follow the links to Three Counties Radio (Beds , Herts and Bucks) |
| British Gas | This not true about the call centres being transferred overseas. To quote an article from the Guardian :- "British Gas, the country's biggest energy supplier, was at the centre of a fresh storm yesterday after confirming it planned to cut up to 2,000 jobs and transfer half of them to India. Union leaders threatened to call strike ballots after the company, owned by Centrica and employing 26,000, said around 1,000 back-office staff in Manchester and Oldham and a similar number in Solihull in the West Midlands faced the axe. Around 1,000 jobs will be outsourced in the UK. Article continues British Gas said it would need far fewer administrative and data-processing staff for its new computerised billing system which would transfer almost 18m customer accounts over the next 12 to 18 months in a £430m investment programme. It tried to sugar the pill by saying it had no plans to "offshore" any jobs at its UK call centres in Edinburgh, Leeds, Cardiff, Southampton and Manchester - unlike competitors such as Powergen and RWE, owner of npower, and financial services groups which have sent thousands of jobs overseas. Mark Clare, managing director, said: "British Gas is wholly committed to maintaining its existing call centres in the UK." So , as you see it is not call centre staff but back-office and IT staff who are losing their jobs. |
| Gas Board | And there is no such animal as "The Gas Board" That particular organization disappeared when the old gas supply industry was privatised 15 years ago. British Gas is just one of many companies from where you can buy your gas. |
| Yes Car Credit | This company is going to be featured on BBC1 tonight( March 16 , 9 pm) in one of their undercover programmes. From the previews already shown (including on last night's Watchdog) they are going to get a drubbing. The staff treat the customers with contempt . This includes calling them "pond life" and making racist comments , and saying the pre-sale car inspections are of the "Stevie Wonder" sort. Most of the staff are on commission and their main purpose is to sell the credit packages and not cars. These are only a means to an end. |
| Softxpress.co.uk | I received the refund from Nochex into my bank account today. This payment was originally paid via a debit card. |
| Softxpress.co.uk | I received my refund via NoChex today . It was for £3.99 and the item was ordered on September 25. This just leaves one un-answered question. What has happened to the money paid via Paypal. Have Softxpress got it , is it with Paypal who has it just disappeared ? It must be somewhere but Paypal are saying that there is no money in Softxpress's account. Very Strange. |
| Softxpress.co.uk | This is the link if you want to read the comments on the Nochex board , The owner of Softxpress is using the name joe7175 , the last two pages are of the most interest :- http://greenroom.nochex.com/showthread.php?t=3341&page=6&pp=10 |
| Softxpress.co.uk | Via the Nochex forum ( see below ) I have actually received a couple of answers from Joe. If you go to that site you can read them and form your own conclusions about this whole matter. |
| Softxpress.co.uk | Joe does not say anything about the situation with Paypal. According to them there is no money in the Softxpress account to pay back any money . so what has happened to that pile of cash? |
| Softxpress.co.uk | Tonight , just to make things perfectly clear ,I have e-mailed NoChex to ask them yet again what the position is regarding refunds from Softxpress. Nochex have said that they have not received any instructions to pay back money while Softxpress's web-site says that they have instructed both Nochex and Paypal to release these funds. But as we have seen from the replies from Paypal there appears not to be any money available to make these payments. Someone , somewhere is not telling the truth. |
| Softxpress.co.uk | Perhaps Sofxpress have got some money but , instead of refunding it to people, they are going to use it to pay for their legal team. This is the outfit who are going to sue all of us for daring to complain about them and having the impertinence to ask for our money back. In my opinion this legal threat is just a desperate attempt to frighten people and stop them asking too many awkward questions about this gang of con merchants. |
| Softxpress.co.uk | Don't hold your breath waiting for a refund from NoChex. If it is the same situation as with Paypal it appears that there is no money to refund. This is the message coming back from Paypal anyway and I cannot see any difference with NoChex. |
| Softxpress.co.uk | What makes this even more galling is that Softxpress are saying it is everyone's fault but their own and the fact that they are threatening to sue people. |
| Softxpress.co.uk | I had a reply from NOCHEX today about a possible refund and they have said that they cannot pay any refunds until they have received written permission from Softxpress. So the ball is still in their court. I am glad to see that the police are still investigating them. All this bluster from them about suing people. This reminds me of Johnethen Aitkin . Remember what happened to him when he said he was going to sue people? |
| Softxpress.co.uk | I have just been digging around and found this rather interesting e-mail on the NOCHEX discussion forum from Active Data Consultants . It was posted yesterday :- "Dear Sir, Thank you for your email. I have passed your email to customerservices@softxpress.co.uk as we only designed the website and got it up and running for SoftXpress. NoChex place withdrawal limits on account holders and due to the large volume of orders placed it would, in effect, have taken softxpress more than 20 weeks just to get to the money that orders placed in 1 week had raised. 2 weeks of orders would have taken 40 weeks and 3 weeks would have taken a staggering 1 year and 2 months for SoftXpress to actually receive the money. NoChex are not geared up for this level of processing and so all orders placed through NoChex are being returned via them direct to the customer. Please note - NoChex process your money, Softxpress do not process nor have in their account any money paid from customers. The money is technically held in a NoChex holding account until limits allow SoftXpress to get to it. These limits are so low that it makes it impossible to trade and therefore SoftXpress are currently migrating to a new payment processer. I would therefore contact NoChex directly, explaining that you have spoken to us and they will see to it that your card is refunded. Sorry for any inconvenience. I hope this helps. Regards ADC " I had always thought that Softxpress and Active Data Consultants were one and the same outfit. But according to the above they are completely separate. Of course the whole thing could be a complete sham and this is just a way to buy time. BTW they cannot even spell " processor " correctly ! |
| Softxpress.co.uk | I am also disgusted with the way NOCHEX ( AKA NO-REFUND )have acted . They just don't want to know . Well that is the last time I deal with them Looking at the comments here of people who have been ripped off it is in stark contrast to a message board that will remain nameless. On there I was reprimanded and had a couple of my posts censored. The reason ? , nobody from Softxpress were there to give their side of the argument and I was accused of defaming them without knowing the full facts of the case. If I ever get hold of those bunch of con artists I will more than defame them. |
| Softxpress.co.uk | I e-mailed Kent Trading Standards this morning. They got back to me later asking me to ring them. When I did they said that they have managed to track down these rouges ( said it was very difficult ) and are going to pay them a visit tomorrow. Should be interesting! |
| The Gift Registry | According to last night's Watchdog the company have gone bust and they ( Gift Registry ) are asking people to claim from their credit card company . So one big get-out on their part ! |
| Softxpress.co.uk | Somebody on another forum has discovered that Jonathan Forster (the owner of Softxpress) is registered on the " Friends United " web-site. He has been sent a stern warning via this site to the effect that the police and Trading Standards are on his case. That should stir him up a bit ! |
| BT Mobile | For a communications company it is very difficult indeed to communicate with them. My 12 month contract expires with them in a few weeks time and I have been trying to talk to them about cancelling this ( surprise , surprise ) and porting my number. I first sent them an e-mail with the promise of a 48 hour reply. After 5 days I received a standard reply saying that they are very busy and will reply to my specific query eventually. Ten days have now gone by and still no follow up e-mail. I then tried telephoning them. After going through all the options I had to wait 15 minutes for them to answer. It turns out that I cannot cancel the contact , or even give them advance notice of cancellation until the 12 months are up. So then I will have to go through the whole rigmarole again of waiting for a quarter of an hour for someone to answer the phone. I did ask to speak to a manager about this long delay but I was told there was no on available to talk to me. Funny enough , when I tried the new sale option the phone was answered straight away. so bugger existing customers as long as they can flog new phones to new customers. |
| Softxpress.co.uk | I am disgusted by the attitude of NOCHEX towards this company. There are saying " nothing to do with me mate " in the reply I received from them after my complaint about Softxpress. Don't they carry out any security and reference checks about companies they deal with . Any old crook could collect money through them and run off with thousands and the poor old customer will just suffer. I will not be using NOCHEX again. On the other hand Kelkoo are much better. As somebody also said on this theme. They have taken steps to get Softxpress taken off their site and have tried to get in touch with the company. They have also asked me to get in touch with them again if I still do not recieve my goods. I think I have figured how Softxpress run their con. They quote prices just that bit lower than other companies , so people naturally go to them for the product. Then when enough money roles in they just shut up shop and disappear into the night. If they are not actually crooks they are a very good imitation of one. |
| Softxpress.co.uk | I think this company has now gone bust. The web site has disappeared and the phones are still permanently engaged. Luckily I have only lost a few pounds , I hope nobody has spent much more and not received their goods . |
| Softxpress.co.uk | I have been trying all morning to get through to them on the telephone. Every time but one the phone was engaged. Once I got the answer phone and was invited to leave a message but the tape must have been full because it would not let me leave one. I mentioned that I managed to leave a fax on Friday . No reply to that and when I try to send another fax this morning the line rings but their fax machine does not respond. I wonder I it is worth while getting in touch with Trading Standards in Kent to see if they have had any complaints about Softxpress ? Unfortunately I am going away for a few days. I might give it a try when I return. That is unless some other disgruntled consumer will do it for us. |
| Lycos | I forgot to add that several of my incoming e-mails have been lost by them . I know that they had been sent but they never arrived. When it gets to that stage , when you cannot rely on a 100% service , it is time to change. |
| Lycos | This complaint is mainly about the e-mail service from this provider . A few weeks ago they"improved" the service but now it is a complete disaster. It is very slow to load and the pages are full of adverts. Because of this clutter it is very difficult to print off an e-mail without losing some of the page. The anti-spam is useless . Blocked sites appear in my in-box and legitimate addresses appear in the junk folder , even though I repeatedly unblocked them. It is very difficult to complain. There is no "Contact Us" link on the page except by going through a complicated set of help pages. I did manage to send an e-mail to them , a few days ago , listing my complaints but as yet I have not received a reply. I have now decided to move elsewhere , which is a bit of a pain because of informing everyone of my new e-mail address . But it will be worth it in the end. My new e-mail provider has completely clutter free pages with no adverts at all. |
| Softxpress.co.uk | I bought a Sim card from them last weekend. The promise was that the product was in stock and with immediate delivery. A week has gone by and no Sim. Like other people I have found the phones permanently engaged but I did manage to send off a fax yesterday evening No reply as yet. Luckily the Sim card was only £3 but I don't like what I am seeing about this company. I have now ordered the card from another supplier. Lets hope that arrives soon. |
