| React Fast | Absolute waste of time. Poor communication, poor customer service, will not be hiring these people again. I contacted reactfast about a toilet repair (toilet not flushing, washer needed replacing). I informed them that in order to gain access whoever came out to do the job would have to remove a few tiles from the boxing behind the toilet to gain access and asked if this would be a problem. I was assured by the bloke on the phone that this was not a problem at all and that he would contact the plumber who was coming out to let them know that they would have to take some tiles off to complete the work. Plumber comes out, takes one look and the toilet and says she's not allowed to remove tiles. I informed her of my conversation on the phone and she said that she 'hadn't been told anything'. She went outside and was talking on her mobile for about 10 minutes before coming back in and sheepishly informing me that I would be getting a phonecall from her office. Seconds later my phone rang and a react fast customer service person tells me that they are cancelling the job as their plumbers are not insured to remove tiles and it was my fault for failing to remove the tiles before the plumber arrived. I informed him of my original conversation when booking the job and he got very defensive and said that the person I spoke to 'would have known' that the plumber would not remove the tiles. So she left and that was that. To be fair the plumber herself was very polite and apologetic, I actually felt bad that she had a wasted journey. It's a shame that the person I poke to when booking the job could not have been honest and saved us both some time.  Hannah23 at 30th Mar 2012, 02:53PM |
